Routine Lethargy

Today started like any other day. I wake up to find a half-eaten apple on top of me. Of course, I knew who put it there. I expected no less from Chair and Shirt. Why must they be so in tune to their inner bully? How can they enjoy themselves so much? Whatever the answer may be, I realized something. Having had pleasant dreams, suddenly waking up to childish nonsense didn't phase me. I expected it. I was starting to get used to it. I no longer had hope for a better tomorrow or whatever. This was a rather disappointing discovery.

But what, as a mere tube sock, can I do? This is my life, my world. Seeing it through my eyes will only bring lethargy. I wasn't this way before. I am in this corner, lonely, away from Izzy and Sockina. All I have are two bullies and an apple that will soon rot and cause this area to be even smellier.

Entry #1 (A Poem)

A soul,
Tortured and forgotten.
Lost beneath the shadows,
Pushed by Shirt and Chair
Into a bed of depression.
A lonely sock,
Once vibrant and loud,
Now quiet and filthy.
Will there be a time again
When I can be pulled up and adored?
I lose myself in time and agony,
And yet, I remember those days.
Despair.
